Abstract
In mature embryos of B. giganteus the blood circulated vigorously through definite and often intricate pathways. Although the course through major sinuses depended upon the structure and location of organs and muscles and on the propulsive force of the heart, the direction of flow in the appendages and through the narrow spaces among the tissues was governed also by the aspirative force of adjacent major currents. The course of circulation is described in detail for each region of the body with special emphasis on that in the head. The structure and action of the frontal pulsatile organs is also described. Keywords
