Abstract
To the Editor: Weinstein et al.* reported the treatment of acute nonlymphocytic leukemia with intense induction chemotherapy followed by rotational combination chemotherapy. The authors limited the study to patients under 50 years old. Forty-eight of the 83 consecutive, previously untreated patients were less than 17 years old, with a median age of 13 years for the entire group. Seventy per cent of the entire group had remission; 66 per cent of the group 18 to 50 years old had remission.
