Abstract
Blood fructose can be detd. in the presence of glucose, since fructose turns blue when heated with Folin-Wu''s or Folin''s phosphomolybdic acid reagent and, in the cold, can be titrated to colorless with iV/100 KMnO4. Other compounds reacting with a blue color do not normally occur in the blood.
