Bounds for polarizabilities at imaginary frequencies

Abstract
Upper and lower bounds for the dynamical polarizability at imaginary frequencies and corresponding complementary variational principles are derived. The relative merits of these bounds and previously derived bounds are discussed and simple trial calculations are carried out for atomic hydrogen.Keywords
