Etude d'un capteur électromagnétique plat de proximité

Abstract
The sensible part of magnetic proximity sensors is often constituted of a coil wound round a core. We have realized a flat coil of which geometry is different. On account of its incorporation into an oscillator, it allows an inexpensive manufacturing of proximity sensors. We present here the physical and electrical characteristics of different samples. This work is a first study of the sensor optimization and of its associated electronic. We demons- trate that we can accurately detect a sheet metal edge and also the presence of hole in a sheet.
