Transition metal enolate chemistry. Formation of a palladium alkyl complex from a highly reactive enolato palladium complex

Abstract
The ester-derived palladium enolate [LPd{Ph2PCHC(O)OEt}]1(L =o-C6H4CH2NMe2) reacts instantly with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and tetracyanoethylene in tetrahydrofuran (THF) to yield respecitively the alkenyl complex [LPd{Ph2PCH[C(O)OEt](MeO2CCCCO2Me)}]2 and the alkyl complex [LPd{Ph2PCH[C(O)OEt][(NC)2CC(CN2)]}]3.
