Abstract
The recently described technique of endoscopic placement of a permanent feeding gastrostomy is reviewed with several modifications. The experience in 23 adults has led to the conclusion that this nonsurgical technique is the procedure of choice in achieving long-term enteral nutrition in patients who have an intact, nonobstructed gut and in whom the stomach can be directly apposed to the anterior abdominal wall. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
