Lattice Dynamics of Cesium Chloride

Abstract
The phonon-dispersion curves have been measured for CsCl at 78 and 298 °K on a triple-axis neutron spectrometer and analyzed in terms of a rigid-ion model and various shell models. A simple shell model with eleven parameters is sufficient to reproduce the measured dispersion curves. Frequency distributions and ΘD-vs-T curves were calculated based on the parameters determined from the two sets of data.
