Abstract
Most patients tolerate "triostam" (trivalent sodium antimonyl gluconate) satisfactorily in treatment of Schistosoma haematobium infections. A single course of 6 daily injns. of a 6% aqueous solution (total dose 20 mg/kg body wt.) given intraven. caused marked improvement in most patients and an apparent cure in 56%. Triostam is possibly preferable to sodium antimony tartrate, anthio-maline or nilodin for treatment of human schistosomiasis.
