Abstract
SUMMARY: The maximum size of the corpora lutea in senile virgin rats exceeds that of the corpora lutea of ovulation of young animals, and corresponds to that usually associated with pseudopregnancy or mid-pregnancy. The larger size of these corpora lutea is due to enlargement of the individual luteal cells and not to an increase in their number. Keywords
