Selection in Populations with Overlapping Generations. IV. Fluctuations in Gene Frequency with Density-Dependent Selection

Abstract
A model for genotypic differences in response to density-dependent environment factors in an age-structured population is presented. It is shown that fluctuations in population size can produce changes in gene frequency with this model; the pattern of change depends on whether the fluctuations are brought about by density-dependent or density-independent environmental factors.
