Abstract
Experiments on spinal cats and bladder fistula dogs indicate that the renal activity of "oxytocin" is more than 50 times that of a pressor equivalent of "vasopressin" and 25 times that of a like amt. of standard pituitary powder. This is taken as indicating the presence of a 3rd or renal hormone in extracts of the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland which is chemically separate from the pressor and oxytocic hormones.
