Abstract
An interpretation is given for the proposed metric of weinhold1 for the space of thermodynamic states. The proposed metric is n i j =∂2U/∂X i ∂X i where X’di and X j are extensive variables. The physical significance of N i j is discussed. (AIP)Keywords
