Abstract
The observed k→k′ scattering in the linear chain triplet exciton system of 1,2,4,5-tetrachlorobenzene at low temperature is explained by assuming that the scattering takes place at an impurity site via single phonon emission or absorption. The model is supported by a study of the temperature dependence of the scattering rate and the time evolution of the population distribution over the whole band. Keywords
