Abstract
Chloroquine [an amphiphilic drug] was found to form complexes with acidic phospholipids but not with neutral ones. The compositions of these complexes were different and may be due to the numbers of negative charges. The accumulation of the acidic phospholipid bis(monoacylglycero)phosphate in rat liver lysosomes after treatment with chloroquine can be explained in different ways. One of those could be its ability to form complexes with chloroquine. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
