Abstract

[long dash]In dogs denervation of the liver did not affect the value for fasting blood sugar, the hyperglycemia produced by epinephrine, glucose and pituitary extracts, or the hypoglycemia produced by insulin. Accordingly the regulation of the value for blood sugar does not depend on an intact nerve supply to the liver.
