Abstract
The modification of a low energy electrostatic accelerator for terminal pulsing is described. Beam pulse durations as low as 3.7 nsec have been obtained at the target after acceleration. Under typical operating conditions the beam pulse duration is 4–5 nsec with peak currents of 100–200 μA and a pulse repetition period of 200 nsec. Keywords
