Abstract
A technic for the observation and measurement of the effects of drugs on bronchial resistance in an isolated perfused lung preparation is described. This preparation shows an absolute sensitivity to histamine comparable to commonly used biological assay objects, and shows a reproducibility adequate for assay purposes. Its simplicity makes it suitable also for teaching demonstrations of the effect of drugs on the bronchioles. Keywords
