Abstract
Antisera from rabbits hyperimmunized with horse serum gamma globulin (Cohn''s Fraction II) or a subtraction thereof were used to determine the antigenic relationship of other horse serum fractions, obtained by zone electrophoresis on starch, with gamma globulin. Using both gel diffusion according to OUCHTERLONY and immunoelectrophoresis it was shown that serum proteins with electrophoretic mobilities ranging from gamma globulin to alpha-2 globulin were antigenically related but not identical with gamma globulin. Similar results were obtained with antisera against human gamma globulin which were capable of cross-reacting with horse serum gamma globulin and its related proteins. Keywords
