Abstract
Palliative treatment by radiotherapy was attempted in 17 cases of dysphagia, due to inoperable gastric carcinoma. Thirteen experienced a useful improvement in swallowing. Radiotherapy, using a moderate dose of radiation, is suggested as an alternative to intubation in such patients.Keywords
