Abstract
Infectious single and double-stranded fd DNA''s are equally restricted by Escherichia coli rB+ spheroplasts at levels from 2 x 10-3-2 x 10-2 and by E. coli (P1)+ spheroplasts at levels from 0.1- no restriction. An excellent assay for in-vitro host-controlled restriction and modification is presented. Keywords
