Abstract
A voxel based anthropomorphic phantom, NORMAN, was used to calculate specific absorbed fractions for a set of source and target organs over a range of energies from 10 keV to 4 MeV. The results were compared with those that had been calculated by Cristy and Eckerman using Cristy's version of the MIRD5 phantom. The differences between the two sets of values ranged widely and generally increased with decreasing energy.
