An electromyographic electrode designed for identification of recording sites

Abstract
An electromyographic needle electrode was designed so that a marking substance could be injected through the electrode into the recording site. This made it possible to identify the recording site, in the muscle, at the termination of the experiment when a postmortem examination was performed. Colored petrolatum or mineral oil was used as a biologically inert marking substance. Some of the recording sites were readily located as long as 130 days after injection. perineal muscles; electrode location Submitted on October 22, 1964
