Abstract
A rule of synaptic modification in neural networks is proposed under a principle which minimises 'free energy' with synaptic strength roughly bounded. The rule does not allow the overloading of memories which can be a cause of failure in the memory process and it stabilises the synaptic connection, provided that memories are properly stored. Keywords
