Diurnal Variations in Acuity of Sense of Taste for Sodium Chloride.

Abstract
Expts. are described demonstrating the existence in normal individuals of diurnal variations in acuity of the sense of taste for NaCl. Freely selected meals were found to be preceded by a period of increasing acuity and followed by one of decreasing acuity of that sense. When meals had been omitted the decrease in acuity failed to occur.
