Population Growth of the Sexes

Abstract

In connection with the mathematical treatment of population growth which incorporates differential birth and death rates of the 2 sexes, the author has extended previous work and has introduced a more realistic and hence more complex stochastic process. Several models based on more simplifying assumptions are also discussed. In all models allowance is made for male or female marriage dominance. Means, variances and covariances of the male and female population sizes are given.
