Abstract
The synthetic medium described by Dubos and Davis provides an efficient method of studying antimycobacterial agents. Of 19 compounds tested in vitro, 4 showed sufficient activity to warrant further investigation. 2-butoxy-5-aminopyridine sodium formaldehyde bisulfite is ineffective in the treatment of exptl. tuberculosis in mice and guinea pigs.Keywords
