Abstract
Measurements of both the longitudinal and transverse high field magnetoresistivity of pure potassium have been made by the soft helicon and eddy current decay technique in large spherical samples. The longitudinal magnetoresistivity is found to rise considerably faster than the transverse component in high fields. Both components are found to be markedly dependent on sample preparation technique and to vary with crystallographic orientation.
