Abstract
It has been noted earlier (Kirton, 1976) that adaptors and innovators often possess naive and distorted views of each other. One such view, expressed by innovator senior managers in interviews, was that adaptors owe their success to agreeing with the boss. This study supports adaptors' denials that this is so and offers a more refined hypothesis. Keywords
