A Low Power Heater for the LaB6 Rod Cathode

Abstract
A low power LaB6 rod cathode assembly has been designed and tested. Initial results have shown that a reduction of input power from 60 to 11 W can be achieved. The low power assembly has been operated in a sealed‐off device without any adverse effects in the operation of the cathode.Keywords
