Abstract
Injection of certain bacterial polysaccharides into the peritoneal cavity of rats results in a local neutrophilia which can easily be determined and quantitated. Preliminary findings suggest the possibility of using this response to detect the presence of certain bacterial derivatives in solutions.Keywords
