Abstract
Using the assumptions of current commutation relations and of a partially conserved axial-vector current, new relations between pion-nucleon scattering parameters, the axial-vector renormalization constant , and the nucleon-isovector charge and magnetic moment are derived. Calculating the nucleon total magnetic moment, we obtain a result which is in good agreement with experiment.
