Arsenic Pollution of Soils at Old Industrial Sites

Abstract

An investigation was conducted on pollution of the soil by As in the vicinity of the smeltery of Modum Blafarveverk [Norway], a plant abandoned at the end of the last century. The figures show a strong enrichment of As in the soil, and much more As in the vegetation than normal. The content of Co in soil and vegetation was also high.
