Abstract
A definition of sensitivity for NMR spectrometers is proposed. This definition relates sensitivity directly to the minimum detectable steady state NMR absorption χ″. Furthermore, the definition is expressed in a form which makes explicit the sequence of measurements appropriate to its determination. A new solid state calibrator circuit is presented which is both simple and reliable. Its use in performing sensitivity measurements is described. Keywords
