Abstract
A case of the rare Gilles de la Tourette syndrome is described. There is good evidence that the treatment carried out produced the considerable personality improvement and the loss of symptoms which have been maintained over a period of 4½ years. Certain observations are made about the basal ganglia as the probable site of disturbance in this condition. Keywords
