Biocytinase, an Enzyme Concerned with Hydrolytic Cleavage of Biocytin

Abstract
The existence in blood of an enzyme in relatively large amt., which hydrolyzes biocytin (epsilon-N-biotinyl-L-lysine), tentatively termed biocytinase, was noted. The enzyme has a pH opt. at 6.0-6.7 and requires for opt. effect an appropriate sulfhydryl compound.
