Abstract
The spectral distribution of molecular-orbital X-rays in the classically forbidden region is studied theoretically. An analytic expression for the X-ray emission amplitude is derived by means of an expansion about the distance of closest approach of the internuclear motion. The qualitative behaviour of the spectral shape differs from that obtained by other methods. Keywords
