Quantitative Evaluation of the Skin Circulation in Ischemic Legs by Transcutaneous Measurement of Oxygen Tension

Abstract
Transcutaneous O2 tension (tcPO2) measurement is a simple, noninvasive and continuous recording method, and its value can reflect the O2 delivery and even circulatory state in the skin. There was a significant correlation between pretibial tcPL2 tcPO2 and Fontaine''s classification. Accordingly, the tcPO2 measurement is an effective and useful method in evaluating the severity of ischemic legs quantitatively.
