Age of a mixedCardiopteris — Glossopterisflora from RB-SR measurements on the Nychum Volcanics, North Queensland

Abstract
A mixed Glossopteris-Cardiopteris flora has been identified in the Nychum Volcanics of northeastern Queensland. An attempt to date this assemblage suggests Late Carboniferous as the most probable age. The volcanics appear to have been formed by the variable admixture of two relatively homogeneous and isotopically distinct magma types.
