Abstract
The [56.5*]/[105]+ ratios observed in the spectra of N‐(nitrophenyl)benzamides are greater than those observed in the spectra of N‐(methoxyphenyl)benzamides. These results differ from those observed in the spectra of monosubstituted benzophenones. An explanation, based on energy distribution and breakdown curves, is employed to rationalize these results, as well as other phenomena reported in the literature. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
