Abstract
INFLUENZA VIRUS infection is a major public health problem, occurring, typically, in the Northern Hemisphere, between the months of December and April. Epidemics of influenza are characterized by an increased morbidity and mortality in the community and result in increased absenteeism from school and work.1-6 The classic influenza syndrome is sudden in onset and is characterized by fever, headache, cough, sore throat, myalgia, nasal congestion, weakness, and loss of appetite.3-8Keywords
