Abstract
At 25[degree]C the intensity of gametic reproduction of P. blakesleeanus on an agar medium containing dextrose, asparagine, mineral salts, and thiamin was affected by the distance between the inocula of the + and [long dash] strains, by the conc. of agar, by the addition of plant extracts, by the amt. of asparagine and to a less extent by the amount of carbohydrate. Little gametic reproduction was obtained at 25[degree]C in a liquid medium containing dextrose, asparagine, mineral salts and thiamin. Growth substances in addition to thiamin are probably concerned in the gametic reproduction of Phycomyces. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
