Comparison ofH−andD−detachment cross sections

Abstract

Electron detachment cross sections for ${\mathrm{H}}^{-}$ and ${\mathrm{D}}^{-}$ on He, Ar, ${\mathrm{H}}_2$, ${\mathrm{N}}_2$, and ${\mathrm{O}}_2$ were found to be essentially identical to within experimental accuracy when compared at equivalent velocities in the ${\mathrm{H}}^{-}$ collision energy range from 200 eV to 10 keV.
