Abstract
The effect of dipyridamole on prosthetic venous grafts was evaluated in 23 animals from ten days to 18 months following implantation. No early thrombosis was observed and complete patency was confirmed during these periods by autopsy or angiography in all dogs. The results of this experiment clarify the view that dipyridamole may show remarkable benefit in the prevention of thrombosis when prosthetic devices are implanted in the venous system. Keywords
