Abstract
THE frequency of breast feeding and the factors that affect it were investigated in 114 women who attended the Family Health Clinic in Boston between 1950 and 1956. The material will be presented in two papers — the present article and one to be published later on entitled "Duration of Breast Feeding."The Family Health ClinicThe organization of the Family Health Clinic has been discussed in several publications,1 2 3 4 and need not be dealt with in great detail here.
