Abstract
Aurin tricarboxylic acid (A.T.A.), an inhibitor of protein biosynthesis (initiation and elongation steps), acts also as a competitive inhibitor of phenylalanine, in the ATP-PPi exchange and tRNAPhe aminoacylation reactions catalysed by cytoplasmic wheat germ phenylalanine:tRNA ligase. Keywords
