Cross Section and Recoil Studies of Reactions ofU238with Protons of 0.5 to 6.2 GeV

Abstract

We report radiochemical investigations of ${\mathrm{Cu}}^{64,67}$, ${\mathrm{Mo}}^{99}$, ${\mathrm{Ag}}^{111}$, ${\mathrm{Pd}}^{112}$, and ${\mathrm{I}}^{121-135}$ produced from irradiations of ${\mathrm{U}}^{238}$ with high-energy protons. Cross sections are given for proton energies between 0.5 and 6.2 GeV. Recoil properties from thick targets are reported for irradiations with 0.72- and 6.2-GeV protons.
