Abstract
I-131 was used to study the metabolism of iodine by dairy cow. A stimulus associated with the onset of spring caused the blood and milk levels of I-131 to increase, the thyroid to take up more I-131, and the mammary gland to actively concentrate I-131 in the milk.Keywords
