Multiphoton excitations in neodymium chlorides

Abstract

Several multiphoton absorptions have been observed in ${\mathrm{Nd}}^{3+}$:${\mathrm{La}}_{\mathrm{x}}$ ${\mathrm{Ce}}_{1\mathrm{-}\mathrm{x}}$ ${\mathrm{Cl}}_3$ crystals. Preliminary results and an attempted interpretation are presented.
