Limited Observations on the Antistreptolysin Titer in Relation to Latitude

Abstract
Summary: From the data presented in this paper it is seen that the median antistreptolysin value is lower in latitudes south of 35° than in latitudes north of 40°. This method of study is suitable for detecting an environment in which the rheumatic subject may expect minimal exposure to hemolytic streptococcus infection of the respiratory tract.
